yup, annoying as heck..Every single sunday during the NFL season, the stupid screensaver comes on.. heaven forbid I want to watch a back to back game without touching the controller. The olympics? forget about it.. every few hours have to hit a button
This has been an ongoing issue for years. This has nothing to do with the system being paused or the power save feature in the settings. A reset will not fix the issue. Some say it's a bug that directv refuses to acknowledge or fix. Maybe but doubt it. Commercial customers don't have the issue. I know a few owners or bars with directv and this does not happen to them. Only residential customers. This use to happen to commercial customers but directv put a stop to that after this fiasco started a few years ago. The commercial customers were going bonkers because this stupid screensaver kept coming on during live sporting events.
I have a SWiM 16 system with a Genie and 4 genie sub boxes and 9 HR-24's and 25's one H-23. This happens on every single box. I upgraded my older boxes about a year ago and it happened on them too.HR21's and up.
I live in El Segundo, one of these days, I'm going over to the corporate directv offices, with a box, and let them know my dissatisfaction. Probably won't do anything but hey, I won't have to talk to the script monkeys via the directv telephone support.
