What is the standard installation procedure for drilling a hole into a house and securing 4 wires from Directv technician?

I recently had a new slimline 3lnb satellite installed with the 4 wire grouping entering the house through a hole drilled into the attic.  The Directv technician only applied silicone on the outside, did not put anything on the inside nor did he use any grommet or bushing and the hole weakened the vinyl siding which has now been ripped off the house from the wind.  In addition I can now see a gap between the wiring so the silicone was not applied properly.  I will have to call back Directv to seal this wiring into the house properly and I would like to know if anyone here knows the proper installation procedure when dealing with that 4 wire combination.  Is there a bushing or grommet large enough to accomodate the 4 wire set up?

Originally the Directv tech was going to install the SWM lnb but I had a couple of legacy receivers that I wanted to keep using and he did not inform me it was possible to use the legacy connection on the multiswitch to keep running those receivers.  If I was to switch to SWM to have the simplication of 1 wire entering the house, could I have the power supply on the first floor receiver or would it have to be closer to the actual mutiswitch in the attic?

Thanks.
