I have a Genie HD DVR model # HR34-700. Any time I turn the DVR off or switch inputs, I.e use my blue-ray player, when turn the box on or change inputs to the DVR box I don't get a signal. There are no error messages there just isn't a signal coming through. I have to push the reset button and then wait for the whole box to reset.
